Ah, film noir. Nothing uplifting about it. It's just unpleasant people doing unspeakable things to each other. This still is from "Tension" (1949) with Barry Sullivan, William Conrad, Richard Basehart & Audrey Totter. I haven't seen it yet, but that's no reason NOT to have a crack at providing a little uncalled-for dialogue.
